What’s the experience like?

The first thing that happened — we got lost in the Tsukiji Outer Market, not because of the driver (he was waiting patiently), but because I couldn’t stop gawking at a fishmonger slicing tuna like it was silk. We zipped over to Tokyo Skytree next — honestly, I thought it would feel cold or impersonal up there, but it was kind of mesmerizing watching the city stretch forever under pale winter sunlight. Kenji showed us where Mount Fuji should be on a clear day (it wasn’t), but you could almost imagine it behind the haze. The drive between stops gave us time to breathe and watch Tokyo blur past: neon signs, schoolkids in uniforms, a guy on a bike balancing three boxes somehow.

Later we crossed Ginza’s shiny streets and then hit Shibuya Crossing right as everyone seemed to spill into the intersection at once — total organized chaos. The energy is hard to explain until you’re there hearing snippets of J-pop through open shop doors and seeing teens posing for selfies on every corner. We ended near Odaiba Seaside Park as dusk crept in; seagulls wheeled overhead and everything felt softer after all that city noise. It wasn’t what I pictured when I booked a “Tokyo private sightseeing tour by car,” but maybe that’s why I remember it so clearly now.
