Summary

Cabo San Lucas Whale Watching Tour with Tequila Tasting

You’ll spot humpback whales and playful dolphins right off Cabo’s coast, get up close to the iconic Arch, taste local tequila, and enjoy easy roundtrip transport—all with friendly guides who know their stuff.

experience

What’s the experience like?

I still remember the salty breeze hitting my face as we hopped onto the speedboat at the marina. Our guide, Luis, handed out life vests—he joked about his “lucky hat” that’s seen more whales than most locals. The boat zipped past pelicans perched on fishing boats, and you could smell grilled fish from a vendor nearby. It was early morning, so the sun wasn’t too harsh yet—just enough to make you squint at the glint off the water.

We cruised by the famous Cabo San Lucas Arch. Everyone scrambled for photos—honestly, it’s even more dramatic in person than in travel brochures. Then came the main event: whale watching. Suddenly, someone shouted and pointed—a humpback tail slapped the surface not far from us. You could hear everyone gasp. Dolphins showed up too, darting alongside our boat for a few minutes like they were showing off.

On the catamaran ride back, there was an open bar (the margaritas went fast) and a quick tequila tasting session—turns out real tequila is way smoother than what I’d tried back home. The guides switched between Spanish and English without missing a beat, answering questions about migration routes and sharing stories about past seasons. By noon, we were back on land with sun-warmed skin and a phone full of blurry whale photos I’ll never delete.
