What’s the experience like?

We’d already lost track of time by the second bar—someone handed me a shot (vodka, obviously), and the bass from the speakers made my chest thump. Our guide Kuba was everywhere at once, somehow remembering everyone’s name and making sure nobody wandered off alone. I tried to say “Na zdrowie!” but Li laughed—probably butchered it. The city outside felt chilly but inside it was all sticky floors and voices getting louder with each round. I didn’t expect to end up singing karaoke with strangers from three countries, but there we were—shouting out “Don’t Stop Believin’” like it was a national anthem.

The open bar hour went by in a blur of clinking glasses and that sweet-sour smell of spilled beer. At one point I realized our photographer caught me mid-dance move (I hope those photos don’t make it online). Each new place had its own vibe—one had neon lights that made my white shirt glow; another was packed so tight you could barely squeeze through to the bar. The last stop was supposed to be Krakow’s “best club”—I’m not sure who decides that, but skipping the line with VIP entry felt pretty cool. There’s something about walking past a queue that makes you feel like you’re in on a secret.

I still think about that moment when we stepped out for air near Zakrzowek—the cold hit hard after all the heat inside, and for a second everything was quiet except someone laughing behind me. We ended up swapping stories over greasy street food before heading back in for one more song (definitely didn’t hit those high notes). So yeah, if you want a night where you don’t have to worry about which club is good or how to meet people—this Krakow pub crawl just sort of sweeps you along for the ride.
