"Don’t worry, I’ll send you a video so you don’t get lost in the crowd," our driver messaged me on WhatsApp before we even landed at Istanbul Airport. That little detail calmed my nerves more than I expected. IST is huge—like, echoey halls and endless signs—and after a long flight, my brain was mush. The air outside the terminal was thick with a mix of jet fuel and something sweet—maybe roasted chestnuts?
