Summary

Go behind the scenes of Las Vegas TV icons on a quirky bus tour

You’ll step into Las Vegas pop culture with stops at Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (maybe even meet Rick or Chumlee), Count’s Kustoms’ wild cars, Shelby American’s legendary collection, Toy Shack’s vintage treasures, and more—all alongside a local guide who keeps things real. Expect laughs, oddball facts, and a few moments that stick with you long after the tour ends.

experience

What’s the experience like?

The first thing I noticed outside the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop was the smell—sort of hot pavement mixed with barbecue smoke drifting over from Rick’s Rollin Smoke. It was louder than I expected, too; people were already lined up taking selfies with that famous sign. Our guide, Mike, had this dry sense of humor and kept pointing out all the stuff you never see on TV—like how Chumlee’s candy shop next door actually smells like bubblegum. We didn’t know if we’d meet Rick or Chumlee until we got inside (it was Chumlee that day, grinning and signing hats). I tried to say hi in my best attempt at Mandarin—Li laughed so hard she nearly dropped her phone. Honestly, I didn’t expect to feel nervous meeting a reality star, but there it was.

The bus ride between stops felt like a weird mix of nostalgia and neon. At Count’s Kustoms, Danny wasn’t around but the cars really are as wild as they look on Counting Cars—there’s this 1955 Chevy Bel Air that made me wish I knew more about engines. The Shelby American place is all polished chrome and echoing footsteps; there’s something kind of reverent about it, even if you’re not a car person. And then Toy Shack—Johnny Jiminez was there rearranging old Hot Wheels, chatting with us about which toys are worth a fortune now (spoiler: not my childhood Barbies). The air inside smelled faintly like plastic and cardboard boxes, which took me straight back to being eight years old.

I liked that the tour didn’t rush us—Mike let us wander through Ultimate Sports Cards & Memorabilia for a while, and honestly I could’ve spent an hour just looking at signed jerseys. There was this moment when someone asked about Allegiant Stadium and he just shrugged: “It’s big, it’s cold inside, and sometimes you see celebrities in Raiders gear.” Not exactly poetic but it made me laugh. By the end of four hours I felt weirdly attached to our little group—maybe it was all the random trivia or maybe just the way everyone loosened up after that free mystery shot (which tasted like cinnamon fireball?).
