"You ever tried hot chicken for breakfast?" our guide, Marcus, grinned as we shuffled into Biscuit Love. I could smell butter and something sweet even before we sat down. The place was busy but somehow not rushed—locals weaving through tables, someone laughing behind the counter. My biscuit was flaky, warm, with a tangy jam that surprised me (in a good way). I wiped my fingers on my jeans and didn’t care. It just felt right.

We wandered out onto the sidewalk, sun bouncing off glass buildings in The Gulch. Marcus pointed out old brick warehouses tucked between shiny new spots—he called it “Nashville’s growing pains.” At Peg Leg Porker (not open Sundays), the smoky air hit us before we even got inside.
