The city felt close but not rushed; traffic moved at its own pace while our driver pointed out neighborhoods as we passed through them. He shared little tips about Paris—like which arrondissements are best for evening walks or where to find late-night bakeries if jet lag hits.

I noticed how quietly the car moved along the ring road, almost like gliding compared to the usual city taxis. Even with my toddler’s stroller folded up next to me and my partner’s backpack stuffed underfoot, there was plenty of space. Knowing they had infant seats available took one more worry off my mind.
