What’s the experience like?

“Mind the cows!” our driver joked as we squeezed through the morning traffic near Chandni Chowk. The market was already alive—vendors shouting prices, the scent of cardamom and frying samosas drifting from tiny stalls. Our guide, Priya, led us down a side street where silver bangles caught the sunlight and a shopkeeper waved us in to try rosewater sweets. It felt like every corner had its own story.

Later, standing in the cool shade of Jama Masjid’s courtyard, I could hear distant prayers mixing with the city’s hum. The red sandstone felt warm under my feet. We moved on to Humayun’s Tomb—Priya pointed out details in the stonework I’d never have noticed alone, like faded blue tiles tucked behind arches. At Qutub Minar, flocks of green parrots darted between ancient carvings while school kids snapped selfies nearby.

By midday, we paused at India Gate where families picnicked on the grass and kites floated overhead. The air changed as we reached Lotus Temple—quiet inside despite crowds outside; even my footsteps seemed softer on the white marble floor. Our last stop was Deer Park in New Delhi: peacocks called from somewhere unseen and couples strolled shaded paths. Honestly, it was a full day but never rushed—each place had its own rhythm.
