What’s the experience like?

I was honestly nervous at first — I mean, posing in front of strangers in Venice isn’t my usual thing. But our photographer, Luca, just grinned and started chatting about his favorite gelato spots near Piazza San Marco (I wrote one down for later). He had this way of making the whole thing feel less like a “photoshoot” and more like we were just wandering together, stopping whenever the light hit those old stones right. The air smelled faintly salty from the lagoon, mixed with espresso drifting out from a tiny bar where a waiter waved at us — maybe he recognized Luca? I didn’t expect to laugh so much while someone snapped my photo.

We crossed over to the Bridge of Sighs — it’s smaller than you think but somehow more haunting up close. Luca told us a story about lovers passing under it for luck, then caught me mid-eye roll (that photo actually turned out pretty good). There was this moment in St. Mark’s Square when the bells started ringing and pigeons scattered everywhere; I tried not to flinch but probably failed. The city felt alive in every direction — gondoliers calling out, tourists getting lost, locals slipping through alleys without missing a beat.

The session went by weirdly fast. For the longer package, we even had time to wander toward Rialto Bridge and I changed into my “fancier” shirt behind a column (don’t judge). Afterward, Luca promised an online gallery with all the best shots — he said their editing team would fix any weird shadows or stray tourists in the background. I still think about that one photo by the canal where I’m half-laughing because someone’s dog barked right as he clicked.
