What’s the experience like?

The first thing I noticed stepping out of customs at Istanbul Airport was the sea of signs and tired faces. But there—right by the greeting zone—stood our driver with my name on a board. The driver spoke clear English (he mentioned he also knew Russian and Arabic), which made things easy. As we drove toward Taksim Square, he pointed out where the Bosphorus glimmers at night and even suggested a few local spots for baklava if I got hungry later. The WiFi worked right away—handy for letting family know I’d landed safe.

I barely noticed the time pass; traffic can be unpredictable in Istanbul, but our driver seemed to know every shortcut through Fatih’s winding streets. He explained they track flights in real time, so even though my plane landed late, he’d already adjusted his schedule—no extra charges or stress about missing him. We pulled up at my hotel with plenty of time before check-in closed. Honestly, it felt more like being picked up by a friend than just another airport transfer.
