Summary

Sail Barcelona’s Coastline with Vermouth & Local Snacks

You’ll get to see Barcelona from a whole new angle—out on the water with a glass of vermouth in hand, local snacks at your side, and iconic sights like La Sagrada Familia in view. It’s relaxed, friendly, and just different enough to make your day special.

experience

What’s the experience like?

Stepping onto the sailboat at Port Olímpic, I could already smell the salty air mixing with a hint of orange peel from my frozen vermut. The skipper—Miguel, who grew up in Barceloneta—handed out glasses and pointed out how the light hits the city just right in late afternoon. You settle in on deck, shoes off if you want, and suddenly the city feels far away, even though you can still spot La Sagrada Familia poking above the skyline.

We drifted past the golden beaches and watched paddleboarders zigzag between anchored boats. There’s always a breeze here—sometimes cool enough to make you pull your towel closer, sometimes just perfect for sunbathing. When Miguel slowed down near the W Hotel, he asked if anyone wanted to swim. A couple of us jumped in; the water was brisk but refreshing, and you could hear seagulls overhead and laughter echoing off the hull. Back onboard, we nibbled olives and chips while learning how to handle a rope or two—nothing too serious, but enough to feel like part of the crew.
